NRIs donate bus for YFC Football Academy

The YFC Rurka Kalan’s endeavor to revive football in the region got a new boost as NRIs donated them a 30 seater bus. The help came from NRIs as they came to know about YFC’s work after it has won Street Child World Cup in Durban South Africa. Mr Harminderpal Singh owner of Carolina Rail Hawks Football Club, U.S.A. has given the major share. Village NRIs Balbir Singh Sandhu(UK), Baljit Singh Sandhu(USA), Kulwinder Sing Sandhu (USA)and Gurchetan Singh(Canada) also contributed handsomely for buying the bus. In a decent function Mr. Avinash Rai Khanna Member Parliament dedicated the bus to the players of the Academy. He lauded the efforts of YFC and announced a grant of Rs 2 Lacs for extension of the hostel facilities. Mr Gurmangal Dass Soni thanked all the dignataries and donors.

Jatinder selected for Indian Under-16 Squad

Congratulations to Jatinder. He has been selected for the Indian Under – 16  Squad. Jatinder was part of the Indian team from YFC Rurka Kalan that had won the Street Child World Cup (SCWC) 2010 in Durban, South Africa in March.
